0. Who We Are

The TradeEvidence platform is operated by Adam Ravald ("we", "us", or "the Seller"). Adam Ravald is the data controller responsible for your personal data described in this notice. You can contact us through the channels provided on the platform.

1. Information We Collect

When you create an account, we collect your email address and authentication credentials (either a password hash or Google OAuth profile info). We also store the data, strategies, rulesets, and backtest results you create within the platform.

2. How We Use Your Information & Legal Basis

We use your information solely to provide and improve the Service. Specifically:

  • To authenticate you and maintain your account
  • To store and retrieve your saved projects, rulesets, and backtests
  • To process AI research requests you initiate
  • To communicate important service updates

Where required by law (e.g. under the GDPR), our legal bases for processing are: performance of a contract (to provide the Service you sign up for), legitimate interests (to secure, maintain, and improve the Service and prevent fraud), consent (where you opt in, such as optional communications), and legal obligation (where we must retain or disclose data to comply with the law).

3. Uploaded Data

Market data CSVs, strategy descriptions, and backtest results you upload are stored securely in our database. This data is tied to your user account and protected by Row Level Security — meaning no other user can access your data. We do not use your uploaded data to train AI models or share it with third parties.

4. Cookies and Analytics

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We may use basic analytics to understand how users interact with the platform, but we do not use invasive tracking or third-party advertising cookies.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your data as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal information and uploaded data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

6. Security

We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections (TLS), hashed passwords, and database-level access controls (Row Level Security). However, no online service is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute protection.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us through the platform.

8. Third-Party Services

We share personal data with the following categories of recipients: hosting and infrastructure providers (Supabase, for authentication and database hosting), authentication providers (Google OAuth, for optional sign-in), and our Merchant of Record and payment provider, Paddle (Paddle.com Market Limited). Paddle acts as the reseller and Merchant of Record for all purchases and processes your payment-related data for order fulfilment, subscription management, payments, tax compliance, and invoicing. We may also disclose data to professional advisers and authorities where required by law. These providers maintain their own privacy policies.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting an update on the platform.

10. Contact

If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy, please contact us through the channels provided on the platform.
